Electrical Apprentice
ElectricalApprentices assist Electricians in the performance of electrical tasks such as pulling cable, installing devices, repairing electrical equipment, and readingblueprints. This position requires the apprentice to enroll in a 4-yearDepartment of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program. Some travel willbe required. Pay is dependent on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works under the directsupervision of a Journeyman Electrician and must be able to demonstratesafe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment. Assists withmaterials handling, installation of materials, devices and equipment
Specific tasks include:
Identify and eliminatehazardous conditions at the job site
Maintain the job site in a safe, neat and orderly condition
Handle and stage materials,equipment and tools
Assist with layout, wirepulls and installation
May be required to operateheavy equipment
Assist with cable trayinstallations, device installations, and lighting connections
Receive On-the-job learning(OJL) as part of the apprenticeship program
Attend class & makesatisfactory progress with apprenticeship program completion
Safely operate hand andpower tools
Possess the ability to readand interpret instructions, maps, & manuals
Positive safety attitudeand personal integrity
Legally operate companyvehicles and equipment
Working Conditions
Job requires working in allelements (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
Must keep work tools withthem at all times (work belt, bag, etc.)
Use all types of laddersincluding step ladders up to 14’feet, “A” Frame and all size extensionladders and relocate a 12’ ladder by one’s self
Perform work at variousheights, up to 90’ from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and cat walksand be able to work in restricted areas
Wear protective personalequipment (PPE)

Minimumage of 18
ProvideI-9 documents to establish work eligibility
Evidenceof High School Diploma or GED; high school transcript, if necessary
Validdriver’s license and reliable transportation
DD 214(if veteran)
PhysicalRequirements
Mustbe able to successfully pass a drug test, physical and background check
GoodColor Acuity (determine wire colors)
Mustbe able to bend, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, push, pull & reach overhead
Ableto work at least 40 hour weeks and overtime and night shift, as needed
Liftat least 50 pounds
Constantmoving on your feet
Climbladders of all types
