Position Overview
Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling all electrical components as needed, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Job Responsibilities
Perform manual processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand, electric and pneumatic tooling.
Assist in inventory management by tracking and reporting material usage.
Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule with minimum supervision.
Participate in safety training sessions and ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
Adhere to OSHA safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices to prevent electrical hazards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Maintain a clean work area and follow 5S basics.
Other duties assigned by TAS.
Job Skills
Ability to establish methods and procedures.
Familiarity with assembly and measuring tools, interpretation of visual aids and ability to perform simple shop math.
Good command of the English language, both written and verbal is required.
Competency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, schematics or other technical documents.
Ability to work autonomously or with limited supervision.
Education & Training
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum three months of related factory experience for Level 1 position.
Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and procedures.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
Preferred Requirements
Work performed in a shop environment.
Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.
Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
The use of Safety Glasses is required.
The use of earplugs is recommended.
Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.
Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Specific Duties According to Skill Level Electrical Assembler 1
Be able to perform conduit wiring.
Piping and support fabrication.
Pull wiring.
Ability identify and install basic electrical commodity components.
Electrical Assembler 2
All the requirements of Level 1, plus:
LV wiring + termination.
MV wiring + termination.
2-5 years of demonstrated electrical assembly experience.
Ability to work autonomously or with limited supervision.
Electrical Assembler 3
All the requirements of Level 1 & 2, plus:
Control wiring and MCC wiring.
5+ years of demonstrated electrical assembly experience.
