Mill Operator - Second Shift

Second Shift - approximately 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Position Overview Primary duties include manufacturing livestock feed and related paperwork. Additional duties include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, forklift operation, grain handling, and other feed production responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
Understand the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
Operate equipment safely.
Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
Understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
Team-oriented, willing to give and receive constructive criticism, and help others.
Analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.
Driven, organized, and punctual.
Attention to detail.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma.
Agriculture background a plus.
