Job Description Wolverine Glass Products
is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician III to join our maintenance department. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the advanced troubleshooting, complex repair, and specialized maintenance of our diverse range of glass fabrication equipment.
Responsibilities
Independently troubleshoot and repair mechanical & electrical systems, on glass cutting, edging, drilling, tempering, laminating equipment, and closed loop water systems.
Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions.
Perform equipment adjustments, calibrations, and/or alignments to ensure optimal performance.
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, exploded drawings, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve problems.
Refine and implement minor improvements to equipment and maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and machinery up time.
Mentor Level 1 and 2 Maintenance Technicians, sharing expertise and best practices.
Manage projects or tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and effective completion.
Adhere to all safety procedures and promote a safe working environment within the plant.
Participate in the installation and commissioning of new glass fabrication equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Having some experience working with glass machinery or using similar heavy equipment is a plus..
A history of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
To work with this equipment effectively, one must understand sensors, control mechanisms, and basic automation systems.
Experience with equipment adjustments, calibrations, and alignments.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and mentor others.
Familiarity with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures.
Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics , & PLCs.
