Overview Step into a day on our maintenance team. You arrive to a humming production floor, review your work orders, and dive into a mix of diagnostics and hands‑on repair. One moment you’re tracing a fault through a PLC and VFD drive, the next you’re swapping out a bearing on a conveyor pulley or welding a bracket to keep a machine in spec. You’ll partner with production to get equipment cleaned, assembled, and back online—and train operators on safe, efficient operation. Throughout the shift, you log your work, follow our preventive maintenance schedule, and keep a sharp eye on safety and uptime.

What you’ll take ownership of

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and facility systems to manufacturer and management specifications.

Install, repair, and sustain equipment and facility systems; ensure compliance with prints, manuals, and specs.

Apply strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and related electrical components to diagnose and resolve issues.

Work confidently with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools and systems—including conveyors.

Repair/replace motor transmission components (pulleys, sheaves, belts, bearings, shafts).

Perform corrective welding and light fabrication of parts, frames, and structures.

Execute basic pipe fitting and fabrication tasks.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Assist production with cleaning, assembly, operation, and training on production equipment.

Keep work areas clean; maintain shop tools, equipment, and facilities.

Follow safe, efficient troubleshooting and repair techniques and the preventive maintenance program.

Repair and maintain powered industrial trucks and forklifts.

Complete accurate documentation for all tasks and work orders.

Handle additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED and at least three (3) years’ experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience level: 2 years

Maintenance experience: 2 years (Required)

Core abilities

Language skills: Communicate clearly with teammates, vendors, and trainees; present and instruct effectively.

Reasoning: Above‑average troubleshooting and step‑by‑step problem‑solving capability.

Math: Basic math for measurements and problem solving.

Technical and computer skills

Enter work information into computer programs; use the internet to source parts and technical data.

Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiency.

Operate machines, forklifts, aerial lifts, and floor cleaning machines; obtain/maintain certifications.

Hands‑on proficiency with mechanical/hand tools, forklifts, welding equipment, drill press, saws, and amp meter.

Must own basic tools.

Physical demands

Stand or sit for varying periods; push, pull, bend, lift, carry, and move materials up to 65 lbs.

Work environment

Production setting with mechanical/electrical equipment and moving objects.

Exposure to dirt, dust, noise, and varying temperatures; eye and ear protection required for the entire shift.

Work on platforms, stairs, and ladders; work off the ground and under equipment.

Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment; flexibility including overtime.

Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Compensation and schedule

Job Type: Full‑time

Salary: From $25.00 per hour

Schedule: 12 hour shift; Evening/Day shift; Alternating On call; Overtime

Work setting: In‑person
