The Welder is responsible for gathering materials, assembling components, and performing high-quality welding operations according to job specifications for various manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical diagrams to accurately fabricate parts, including understanding welding symbols.
Gather and prepare materials, ensuring all components meet project specifications.
Collaborate with team members to maximize production efficiency and meet all manufacturing goals.
Identify and suggest improvements in work methods, procedures, and safety protocols to supervisors and management.
Qualifications
2-3 years of proven experience with MIG and TIG welding.
1 year of work-related experience as a Fabricator.
Demonstrated experience welding stainless steel and aluminum.
Proficiency in safely using basic hand tools, power tools, grinders, and saws, including accurate use of a tape measure.
Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and adherence to design specifications.
Solid foundational math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions and technical documentation.
Physical Requirements
May be required to sit, bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Sit, speak, or listen actively for extended periods
Possess full use of both hands to feel or manipulate objects, tools, or controls.
Perform an extended reach with arms to manipulate objects, tools, or controls
Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain
May be exposed to various weather conditions, including seasonal hot and cold temperatures
