JOB POSTING JOB TITLE: Mechanic/Fabricator REPORTS TO: Supervisor
PURPOSE OF POSITION The purpose of this position is to inspect mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Perform inspections on vehicles to repair, maintain, and upgrade vehicle functionality and longevity. The position includes a variety of work; such as mechanical and fabrication.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5+ years experience working with small engines, sheet metal, drill presses, etc.
Experience working with metal (welding and fabrication).
Must have the ability to think critically and problem solve.
Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments.
Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety.
Electrical wiring knowledge a plus.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Inspecting/Troubleshooting vehicles to determine adjustments and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic to ensure the vehicles are repaired, safe and in good working condition.
Fabricate, assemble or disassemble vehicles using hand tools.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Conducting preventive maintenance when needed.
Cleaning work vehicle and work area, as necessary, to maintain a safe work environment.
Meeting all company, governmental, and equipment related safety requirements.
Perform preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
