Job Overview Monitors video EEG patients and identifies seizure activities. Performs neurophysiologic tests including EEGs and video‑EEG initiation for adult and pediatric patients, and maintains data acquired from these tests.

Qualifications Required
HS Diploma
BLS certification required
EEG Board registration
Preferred
Certified in Video Monitoring preferred
Knowledge of neurodiagnostic tests preferred

Essential Functions
The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG tests when requested by a physician.
As part of the testing process, an EEG Technician will gather a patient's medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare the patient for the procedure.
During testing, the EEG Technician monitors the patient's status and notes any abnormalities.
After testing is complete, the EEG Technician reports their findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis.
