RedKote/SilKote Machine Operator
Position type: Full time, Hourly
Pay Range: $24.75 - $27.75 per hour, based on experience
Overtime: Occasionally required on Fridays
Location: North Grafton, MA

What You’ll Do
Put grains into containers for customer shipment or store in one of several warehouse locations throughout the plant
Operate plant equipment, such as fork truck, electric chain hoist, mixer/blender, and rotary kiln
Perform basic tests and inspections of finished products
Fill, transport, palletize, stack, and organize drums, super sacks and bags of abrasive grain
What You’ll Need
Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, certifications or higher education a plus
Be willing to work safely and efficiently while meeting daily production targets
Understand quality requirements and communicate with supervisors when needed
Operate a gas fired rotary kiln
Prepare chemical mixtures with use of charts
Monitor production line for evidence of mechanical failure, product contamination and other hazards
Handle drums, super sacks, and bags of abrasive grain through various methods: manually, with powered lift devices, with motorized pallet jacks and with fork trucks
Have the ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing production demands
Understand how to perform preventative maintenance (PM) and perform basic repairs on equipment
Be able to speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a plus)
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand/walk up to 10 hours
Perform various duties as needed to support Washington Mills
