Miller Electric – The Audio‑Visual Service Technician will respond to A/V service calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues, document service contract information, and assist installation crews with project installations. This role is under a collective bargaining agreement with the IBEW. Benefits are provided through the union. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Installing and servicing commercial audio and video systems.
Troubleshooting A/V and electronic systems.
Work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, work extended hours, and travel independently.
Operate articulating boom lifts, climb ladders, and operate such devices in accordance with OSHA standards.
Support the team with assigning project tasks, training on new products, and managing productivity of installers or service helpers.
Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook‑up procedures.
Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in the installation and configuration oftron, Crestron, QSC, Atlas Global COMM, and similar control systems and components. Experience configuring DSPs and control systems. Experience in digital signage and Direct View LED video walls. High School diploma or GED plus formal A/V training from a technical school or related military school in A/V and/or communications. Experience with Bluebeam, Visio, Draw.IO, and similar platforms for communication with PM and engineering teams is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings. Experience using Microsoft 365. CTS certification. Crestron DM, NVX, and other technical certifications. Qsys Level 1 and Level 2. Extron Control Professional Certification. Atlas IED Global COMM Formal Training. Biamp Tesira Certification. OSHA 30 certification is a plus. Willingness to travel as necessary. Equal Opportunity Employer
