ITG Communications, LLC invites applicants for the Quality Control Technician (Columbia, SC) role.
Job Description A Quality Control Technician is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, ensuring the quality and reliability of installations. They are also responsible for recording and analyzing results to identify areas of improvement for employees and processes.
Responsibilities
Inspect the work performed by field technicians to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure that all installation work is completed according to quality standards, including safety protocols.
Document inspection results according to established pass/fail criteria.
Grade each job and report all findings to local leadership.
Conduct thorough inspections of cable assemblies, components, and installations.
Verify that work complies with industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
Identify any defects, discrepancies, or deviations from quality requirements.
Identify areas for process improvement and recommend corrective actions to enhance efficiency.
Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and at least one-year of industry experience as a technician. Experience with Comcast products preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and sit.
Ability to use hands or feet to handle equipment.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to climb and balance.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
Ability to maintain all safety expectations.
Works outdoors for extended periods.
Exposed to extreme weather conditions.
