Park Tool Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of specialty tools and repair equipment for the bicycle industry, is searching for a hard-working, eager to learn candidate to join our in-house manufacturing team at our world headquarters in Oakdale, Minnesota. We’re constantly designing, refining, testing, updating, developing and manufacturing new tools and repair equipment for the bicycle industry, and we need more help in our machining department. This is a challenging, yet extremely satisfying job working for the worldwide industry leader, all while working with high end CNC machinery.
The Job:
Production machinist in our machining department. You’ll operate HAAS CNC lathes and mills and a variety of other manual machines, creating precision aluminum and steel parts, fixtures and tools. Duties Include:
Setup, operation and tending of multiple CNC lathes and mills in a production environment Setup and operation of manual mills and lathes to perform secondary operations including drilling, deburring, tapping, sanding, assembly, etc. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Part inspection and quality control operations conforming to the prescribed tolerance requirements Make adjustments to machines as needed Maintain a safe and clean workplace, including daily and preventative machine maintenance Communicate with team members You:
Dependable, hard-working, mechanically inclined and motivated Looking to be part of a fast-paced, fast-growing, industry leading company Understanding of G&M codes, shop math and blueprint reading Able to regularly lift 40 pounds and stand on your feet for long periods of time A team player who can work well with others or independently as needed Willing and able to do production work for 10 hours a day Free from illegal drug use or chemical dependency We provide training, competitive wages, a four-day (10 hrs./day) work week and a great environment in which to work. Benefits include paid vacation, sick time, profit sharing program and subsidized health insurance to full time employees. $23–$28/hour depending on experience.
