Scott M. Brown & Associates, a busy multi-attorney family law firm, is seeking an experienced
Family Law Paralegal
to join our team. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work while being part of a supportive and collaborative firm.
What You’ll Do
Draft and prepare family law pleadings, including divorce petitions, decrees, temporary orders, motions, property inventories, and discovery.
Prepare and review legal documents such as deeds, QDROs, and correspondence.
Handle e-filing in Texas state courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
Manage attorney calendars and schedule hearings, meetings, mediations, and depositions.
Maintain case files and assist attorneys with trial preparation.
Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
Perform general administrative duties, including filing, deadline tracking, and answering phones.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of family law paralegal experience required
(5+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of
Texas family law procedures and court rules .
Experience with e-filing systems and legal software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
