Board-Certified Family Law Paralegal This is a full‑time IN‑OFFICE position for our Houston or Deer Park office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle a complex docket of 10 – 20 cases with confidence and efficiency
Meet with clients, attorneys and other professionals to discuss assigned cases
Conduct interviews of clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, interrogatories, subpoenas, and legal briefs
Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including gathering and organizing documents, evaluating documents for relevance and privilege, and redacting sensitive information
E‑file pleadings and motions according to local judicial procedures
Assist attorneys with hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparations
Attend hearings, depositions, mediations and trials when needed
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Schedule appointments, meetings, depositions, mediations and court proceedings for attorneys
Maintain accurate record of billable hours
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of Texas Family Law experience (required)
Family Law Board Certification (preferred)
ABA‑approved paralegal certificate, Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, or Bachelor's degree (desired)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time‑management skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft applications
Proficient with Adobe DC
Experience with Clio (preferred)
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
Dedicated and stable (employed with current employer for more than 2 years)
COMPENSATION Competitive base pay starting at $100,000 and structured quarterly bonuses for Family Law Board Certified Paralegals.
