Role Description
Jacobs & Hazan, PLLC is a law firm dedicated to protecting individuals' rights against abuses of power by government entities, police departments, correction officers, and other officials. The firm specializes in civil rights litigation, including police misconduct and prisoners' rights cases.
This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal position based in New York, NY. The Paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, reviewing case files and documents, and maintaining accurate case records. Additional duties include providing administrative support to attorneys, answering telephones, updating clients about the status of their cases, meeting with new clients, obtaining all relevant records necessary to obtain a successful outcome, assisting with case preparation, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all filings and documentation. Collaboration with the legal team to meet clients’ needs and deadlines is a key aspect of this role.

Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions and procedures the first time they are explained.
