Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking a leasing paralegal to join their team in Downtown LA. The Leasing Paralegal will provide high quality, timely, and cost-effective legal services, and support under the direction of in‑house counsel. This position requires a fundamental understanding of commercial real estate and retail leasing matters. The ideal candidate has a strong leasing background but also has experience with real estate acquisitions/dispositions, financings, and due diligence such as title and survey review.

Key Responsibilities

Perform document review and analysis, legal drafting, and negotiation of easements, restrictive covenants, consent letters, rights of entry, estoppel certificates, and ancillary leasing documents (e.g., assignments, modifications and landlord waiver agreements).

Review, analyze, and research title documents, surveys, leases, and other legal documents; prepare and provide legal memoranda, abstracts, matrices, and summaries in connection with use and merchandising restrictions, redevelopment rights (e.g., signage rights, control areas) and operating/title documents; prepare and revise lease exhibits (e.g., exclusive and prohibited use exhibits) and assist with business risk assessment of a particular course of action.

Assist clients’ in‑house counsel in communication with client teams (such as leasing, development and operations, acquisitions/dispositions, capital markets, sustainability and property management), outside counsel, tenants’ teams and tenants’ outside counsel.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years

of experience in commercial real estate matters (retail leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, financings, and due diligence such as title and survey review)

Retail leasing experience required.

Previous law firm and/or in‑house legal experience.

Strong legal drafting skills.

Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Word.
