Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance defense and assist attorneys with a variety of tasks, including case management, document preparation, client communications, and court filings.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and prepare litigation documents including complaints, motions, discovery, TOCs/TOAs, and appellate filings
File and serve legal documents in state and federal courts (CM/ECF, File & Serve)
Conduct legal research and cite-check briefs
Manage full-cycle e-discovery, including document review, coding, bates labeling, production logs, and database searches
Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial—including exhibit preparation, scheduling, logistics, and technology setup
Create and maintain case management repositories and organized case files
Prepare notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
Calendar and track litigation deadlines across matters
Qualifications
Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal with 5+ years of experience. Defense experience and civil litigation are a plus
Recent experience working in Nevada and familiarity with Nevada rules and procedures
Proficiency with legal technology and software, including document management systems, and litigation support tools
Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc
Highly organized with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
