Legal Assistant – Trusts & Estates
LHH is supporting a Tampa-based law firm in identifying an experienced
Legal Assistant
to join its
Trusts & Estates
department. This role provides high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys and ensures efficient delivery of estate planning and administration services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily schedules for assigned attorneys, including appointments, meetings, and travel.
Anticipate needs and support attorneys by staying ahead of deadlines and workflow requirements.
Draft, edit, and proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Process expense reports, reimbursements, and check requests.
Input, review, edit, and finalize time entries in the firm’s time entry system.
Handle monthly billing processes, including prebill review, narrative edits, and matter inquiries.
Open new matters, perform conflict checks, and maintain organized client and attorney files.
Prepare files for off-site storage and maintain strong records‑management practices.
Maintain strict confidentiality on all firm and client matters.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of Trusts & Estates experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with document management and time entry systems is a plus.
Strong communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
Professional, client‑focused demeanor.
Billing experience (including e‑billing) strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
