$18.50 to $25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications

Job Summary The Fabricator is responsible for assembling, cutting, welding, and shaping metal components to create finished products according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain production throughput of assigned parts

Use blueprints to produce and meet all specifications

Complete and demonstrate all basic skill competencies

Operate in the shop with little or no supervision

Use material handling equipment safely to move parts

Follow all safety standards and procedures

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, and measuring tools

Use multiple welding machines to repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes

Understand and implement personal and company safety measures by wearing PPE

Work independently and self‑motivated

Work within timelines

Maintain a clean workplace

Communicate with various departments for project direction

Contribute to quality control of the project

Knowledge & Experience Required

3‑5 years of manufacturing experience in a structural steel environment

Ability to read blueprints and build with fixtures

Familiarity with standard structural steel fabrication practices for welding, cutting, drilling, and punching steel

Proficient in GMAW

Use of measuring instruments

Ability to pass a weld test in AWS D1.1 Flat prior to hiring

Physical Requirements Employee will regularly stand for long periods, frequently walk, occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
