Job Title: Packaging Technician
This position is responsible for the proper assembly, labeling, and quality of supplies following the paperwork. The technician must follow all applicable standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Review paperwork and instructions to understand and perform packaging procedures required for assembly.
Clean rooms and machinery as needed in a clean room environment.
Perform manual and automated filling and packaging of products independently, approving labeling and checking quality of the process.
Ensure proper labeling and placement using various sealing machinery.
Accept or reject in-process according to standards determined by GMP, customer requirements, and SOP.
Accurately count out and prepare packages to ensure proper packaging.
Perform final check of work in process and finished products, then pack goods into appropriately labeled containers/boxes.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
Attention to detail is critical
Willing and able to work in a cold room as needed (10 hours a week max) with all PPE provided.
Willing and able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Protective shoes are required (steel or composite).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, production, or at least warehouse is preferred.
Candidates with proven tenure in roles, even from fast food or retail, may be considered if they perform well in interviews.
Having worked toward a production goal is preferred.

Work Environment Shift options include 1st Shift from 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM (M-F) and 2nd Shift from 2:45 PM to 1:30 AM (M-TH). Overtime is not currently mandatory but may be required based on production needs, typically involving three Fridays, three Saturdays, and two Sundays per month. This position involves internal contact with production operation employees, engineering, inventory, and quality assurance personnel, with limited external contact with client personnel observing packaging operations.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.25/hr.
