Indianapolis facility .

6-month contract

Opportunity to work with a world-class packaged foods company

Chance to build strong experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and plant maintenance

Full-time schedule with structured training:

4–8 weeks on Shift 1: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Then transition to

Shift 2: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Hands-on role supporting HVAC, refrigeration, and plant systems

What’s a typical day as a Refrigeration Mechanic? You’ll be:

Troubleshooting and repairing heating, ventilation, air, and refrigeration equipment involving

ammonia and other refrigerants , following all safety standards

Performing

daily checks

on refrigeration systems and plant equipment

Leading the refrigeration team on tasks, repairs, or issue resolution

Replacing and repairing

boilers, ammonia systems, coolers, compressors, and HVAC systems

Completing scheduled maintenance on

evaporators and condensers

Cleaning and changing filters regularly

Monitoring, cleaning, and repairing plant systems such as condensers, traps, and filtration

Requesting parts and supplies as needed

Inspecting and cleaning work areas per company procedures

Completing required paperwork, logs, and checklists according to

OSHA and EPA

requirements

Assisting in the repair, replacement, or modification of machinery, wiring, and piping

Supporting additional duties as assigned to maintain safe, efficient plant operations

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

A

high school diploma or GED

2+ years of refrigeration maintenance or related experience

Commercial HVAC experience

(required)

Industrial mechanical experience (preferred)

Ability to read

blueprints, drawings, and plans

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Good organizational and multitasking abilities

Knowledge of:

Planned maintenance

Plant safety and GMPs

MSDS standards

Ability to become certified in:

LOTO

PIT

Confined space

Respirator training

HAZMAT / HAZMAT team participation

Intermediate math skills and basic computer knowledge (Excel, spreadsheets)

Ability to lift and move up to

75 lbs
