Production Painter - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 28.00/hour - Gallatin, TN
AllSearch Recruiting has a client that is a U.S.-based manufacturer that produces premium truck bodies designed for landscaping, hauling, construction, equipment distribution, and agriculture. They are looking for a Production Painter to join their team in Gallatin, TN. The Production Painter will apply industrial coatings to metal products in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Prep surfaces, mix materials to spec, and finish to quality standards and customer requirements. Shifts available include: 1st shift (6 am - 2:30 pm) and 2nd shift (2:15 pm -10:45 pm).
Responsibilities Perform production painting using gravity-feed guns, pressure-fed systems, and bedliner applications.
Complete bodywork and surface prep: sanding, masking, cleaning, and defect repair.
Mix paints/coatings per manufacturer specifications; maintain accurate mix and pot-life control.
Execute wet sanding and buffing to achieve required finish.
Read/interpret work orders and finish specs; verify film build and appearance meet standards.
Maintain paint booth, spray equipment, and workspace cleanliness; complete end-of-shift cleaning.
Follow safe work practices, including PPE use and safe material handling.
Document work performed; report defects, rework, and material usage.
Qualifications Experience with production painting in a manufacturing shop.
Familiarity with multiple paint types and coating systems.
Demonstrated bodywork and surface prep skills.
Proficient with gravity-feed and pressure-fed spray equipment; bedliner application experience.
Wet sanding and buffing experience.
Ability to mix paint to spec and maintain batch records.
Detail orientation; able to hold finish quality within defined tolerances.
Compensation Base salary in the 24.00 - 28.00/hour range
401k plan with 100% match up to 6% of salary (eligible after 1 year).
