Fabrication Specialist – 3rd Shift (10:00 pm to 6:00 am) – Full Time – East Peoria, IL Pay: Up to $24.97 per hour based on experience, plus $1.00 per hour off‑shift premium. Welders may elect to receive a $4.00 per hour retention bonus immediately. Training will be completed on 1st shift for the first 4–5 weeks. 90‑day probationary period includes welding school training. Responsibilities
Perform manual finish welding operations on plain and alloy steels in all positions Operate robotic welding equipment Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect‑free operations Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging Sanding may be required to dress welds Use jib and overhead crane to manually position work pieces Required Qualifications
Must be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests during the Caterpillar‑provided training Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production environment using GMAW with 0.045” or larger wire on ½” or greater thickness material Ability to perform simple computer operations Be available to work any shift and able to work overtime to support production demands Desired Qualifications
Three (3) years of GMAW welding experience Technical school or equivalent education in mechanical or related discipline Top Candidates will also possess
Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork Ability to work well individually or in a team environment Additional Information
