Shift:
3rd shift (10:00 pm–6:00 am) – Full Time – East Peoria, IL Pay:
Up to $24.97 per hour, depending on experience, plus $1.00 per hour off‑shift premium. Welders may elect to receive a $4.00 per hour retention bonus immediately. Incremental increases will be applied every 26 weeks until the maximum rate is reached. Responsibilities
Perform manual finish welding operations on plain and alloy steels in all positions. Operate robotic welding equipment. Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect‑free operations. Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging. Sanding may be required to dress welds. Use of jib and overhead crane to manually position work pieces. Required Qualifications
Must be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests during the Caterpillar‑provided training. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a production environment using GMAW with 0.045” or larger wire on ½” or greater thickness material. Ability to perform simple computer operations. Be available to work any shift. Ability to work overtime to support production demands. Desired Qualifications
Three (3) years of GMAW welding experience. Technical school or equal educational background in mechanical or similar discipline. Additional Information
Full‑time position offering benefits including health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k), etc. Company‑provided PPE such as safety glasses (includes prescription safety glasses) and welding hood, as well as safety boot reimbursement. Training will be completed on 1st shift for the first 4‑5 weeks. 90‑day probationary period includes welding school training. This position is located in East Peoria, Bldg LL. No relocation package is available. Must be able to pass welder qualification requirements during the Caterpillar‑provided training by a Certified Welding Educator (CWE), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or approved personnel. All candidates for employment must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen held to the DOT standards for prohibited substances. Benefits
