Key Responsibilities
Install and set up industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales according to manufacturer specifications.
Perform calibration procedures and adjust settings to meet precision requirements.
Conduct routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair scales promptly to minimize downtime.
Inspect scales for wear, damage, and functionality; address issues with load cells, displays, and other components.
Maintain detailed service and calibration records, including certificates and service reports.
Communicate professionally with clients regarding service requirements, estimates, and technical questions.
Follow safety protocols when working with heavy equipment and electrical components.
Ensure all serviced scales meet quality and regulatory standards.
Track tools, parts, and equipment; replenish supplies as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices and scale technology advancements.
Skills & Knowledge
Experience in scale installation, calibration, and repair.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, NIST Handbook 44).
Proficiency with calibration and measurement equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
Valid driver’s license; Class B (or A) CDL is a plus.
AC/DC, MIG welding experience is a plus.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
2–3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
