Lead Sterile Processing Technician – Days – Orlando Health Watson Clinic, Lakeland Highlands Hospital – Lakeland, FL
Position Summary: Opening Summer 2026 at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities:
Assembles instrument trays for operating rooms and oversees daily operations of all activities that relate to the reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation.
Ensure all team members follow proper operational procedures.
Assumes responsibility, in collaboration with SPD Supervisor, for scheduling new employee orientation, on‑job training, and in‑service education and facility quality assurance programs as needed.
Completes some of the documentation required by the facility related to inventory/equipment requests and repairs.
Maintains a professional relationship with all facility’s departments as needed to ensure effective, efficient support to the patient caregivers.
Prepares instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing, and storing procedures.
Performs equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification: Certification through HSPA, CRCST, or CBSPD (CSPDT).
Experience: Two years of experience in a healthcare‑based sterile processing department.
Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level
