Job Description Summary Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Prepares accurate and timely written estimate of labor and material for projects or major overhaul as required.
Completes project work request accurately and submit documentation as scheduled to the lead plumber of review and disposition.
Completes repairs in a timely and professional manner. Equipment includes but is not limited to, piping networks, sinks, commodes, showers, valves, tubs, fixtures, and other related plumbing devices normally as solicited with the trade.
Leaves equipment and works site in a clean and orderly condition.
Keeps a daily log of completed assignments.
Conducts special investigations promptly.
Conducts special repairs, modifications, or installations in a timely manner.
Knowledge and understanding of building codes, facility standards, and applicable regulations for specific craft.
Capable of performance of basic preventive maintenance procedures within one or more craft areas with minimal supervision such as drain and waste lines and vents.
Capable of training, supervising, and directing Level 1 plumbers.
Reviews blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedure. Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish sequence of pipe installation, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
Assembles pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, blots, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such rulers and levels.
Measures, cuts, threads, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cuttes, pipe-threding machines, and pipe-bending machines
Qualifications
License/Registration/Certification
Journeyman Plumbing license issued by the county preferred & a valid FL Driver License with no more than 4 points
Education
Technical School on related field
Experience
2 years experience required.
