Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Mechanic located in Geneseo, IL. The Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment and heavy machinery. Daily tasks include conducting routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, diagnosing problems, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Collaboration with the team to maintain a safe and organized work environment is also a core responsibility.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair
Experience working with Heavy Equipment and understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems
Strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities
Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and endure variable working conditions
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or trade school certification preferred
Previous experience in a similar role, especially in agricultural or industrial mechanics, is a plus
