CNC Machinist

What You’ll Do:
As a CNC Lathe Machinist at Newell, you’ll be a key player in our precision manufacturing operations. You will:
Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts with high precision.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining and machining parameters.
Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in part inspection, assembly, or secondary operations as needed.
Maintain detailed documentation of production runs and machine logs in compliance with quality standards.
What You Bring:
Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines with Fanuc or similar control systems.
Knowledge of G-code editing.
Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles for precise manufacturing.
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances accurately.
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine issues promptly.
Shift Schedules:
1st Shift : 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday
2nd Shift:
3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., Monday-Thursday
Competitive Pay : $25–$45/hour
