General Laborer | Machine Operator (Manufacturing)
We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer | Machine Operator to support production by assisting with machine loading, part assembly, and basic equipment operation. This role is designed for individuals who may not have prior manufacturing experience but are eager to learn and develop into more advanced machine operator roles.
Hours:
5:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Thursday; 5:00 am – 11:00 am, Friday. Overtime may be required based on production needs. Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary is expected.
Responsibilities
Work with welders, machine operators, and robotic operators to load machines and assemble various machine components.
Perform tasks such as cleaning welds, drilling, cutting, grinding, deburring, and assembling small parts.
Assist in operating production equipment, including basic machine setup and monitoring as skills advance.
Read and follow work instructions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Conduct pre‑operation checks and follow proper procedures to ensure safe machine use.
Help maintain production flow by supporting multiple workstations as needed.
Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety policies, including proper use of PPE.
Take direction from Production Leads and Supervisors and work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning machine operation.
Ability to read a tape measure and a basic understanding of hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Basic computer skills are helpful.
Reliable attendance is required to safely perform job duties.
Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, pulling, or moving up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Bending, stooping, and reaching as part of daily tasks.
Extended periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Standing, walking, using hand dexterity, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, talking, and hearing.
Work conditions include an industrial environment with moving equipment, manufacturing machines, welders, and overhead cranes.
