A law firm in Plano is seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide comprehensive litigation support within a fast‑paced insurance defense practice. This role plays a key part in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation by ensuring accuracy, organization, and strict compliance with state and federal court procedures. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests and responses
Prepare trial materials, including exhibits, pleadings, and related filings
Electronically file documents in state and federal courts, including removal of cases to federal court
Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and adjuster conferences
Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines to ensure timely case progression
Provide general litigation support to attorneys throughout the lifecycle of each case
Qualifications
Working knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
Proficiency with e‑filing platforms and legal case management systems
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks
Prior litigation and insurance defense experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
