RemX is assisting our client, a well respected mid size law firm, with their search for a Trust and Estates Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support their practice. You don't have to have T&E experience to be considered for this position!!

About the Role

As a Trust & Estates Paralegal you will play a crucial role in supporting a team of attorneys in managing and administering trusts and estates for their valued clients.

Responsibilities

Prepare and draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning forms.

Track status of all estates so that deadlines are not missed.

Assist attorneys in estate planning meetings with clients and take detailed notes.

Maintain and organize client files and documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

New Jersey inheritance tax returns.

Conduct legal research on trust and estate-related matters.

Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and government agencies as needed.

Assist in asset management and distribution processes.

Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars.

Stay current on changes in trust and estate laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.

Certified Paralegal designation is a plus.

3-5 years of experience as a Trust & Estates Paralegal in a law firm setting.

Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.

Ethical, discreet, and able to handle sensitive client information.

Required Skills

Pay range and compensation package

Salary range based on experience: $70,000-$80,000, plus bonus.
