Job Description Zecchetti Operator employees are responsible for the operation of multiple palletizing machines and using written work instructions and computer interface. Requires a general understanding of overall manufacturing process and the ability to understand and follow basic good manufacturing practices. Qualified candidates are responsible for starting and maintaining palletizing machine operation with a complete and overall understanding in the assigned area of responsibility.
Reporting Relationship Production Shift Lead
Specific Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Insure that all machines within the scope of responsibility are kept running and bottles are appropriately palletized while minimizing downtime. Communicate problems to on‑coming shift personnel.
Demonstrate organizational ability to complete daily clean‑up assignments and maintain good housekeeping throughout the area of responsibility.
Complete all mold changes and set‑ups. Perform minor maintenance activities.
Support Labeler Machine Operators and all other team members to ensure a positive team environment.
Check and monitor quality on all assigned machines by recognizing visual quality defects.
Maintain all required documentation of quality checks, downtime, housekeeping, and data entry.
Use and understand all related software and equipment required for efficient production of quality product. Verify production schedule to ensure accurate production.
Follow all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor “No Injuries Safety Contract” and as trained. Communicate hazards and safety issues to co‑workers and supervisors. Use required personal protective equipment.
Perform other related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Shift Lead.
Authorization
Employees with authorized training can shut down / stop equipment if continued operation jeopardises health and safety or quality.
Recommend staff quarantine of out‑of‑specification products, materials, or supplies.
Contact any member of management without fear of reprisal concerning questions, suggestions, or complaints regarding quality, working conditions, or job environment.
Job Specifications and Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous manufacturing work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Medium physical demand job.
Lift / push / pull up to 1,000 pounds 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack (≈70 pounds).
Lift weight of60 pounds from ground to 5 feet frequently.
Carry weight of 75 pounds for 10 feet rarely.
Stand / walk up to 11 hours per shift on a concrete floor.
Work 12‑hour shifts (day or night), including weekends and holidays.
Perform repeated bending, turning, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, pinching, and finger manipulations.
Required Safety Equipment
Continuous hearing and eye protection, protective clothing, and steel‑toe shoes.
Environmental Factors
Continuous noise of 85 dB.
Occasional exposure to chemicals, vibration, dust/fumes/gas, confined spaces, and humidity.
Other Requirements
Ability to recognize and understand numbers and values and enter data accurately into an online database.
Make visual and mental priority decisions/judgement calls based on the situation.
Proficient hand‑eye coordination to operate equipment and assemble packaging for shipment.

Compensation Starting salary is expected to be between $5,000 and $52,500; base pay may vary within the full salary range $5,000‑$100,000 depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on performance. Other benefits include medical coverage and health and welfare benefits.
