Job Title
Tool Room Monitor (JT4, LLC)
Overview JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war‑fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Responsibilities
Track, maintain, and inventory all tools and equipment utilized by the local squadron.
Establish and maintain Consolidated Tool Kits (CTK) as needed, as well as Locally Manufactured Tools.
Maintain Mobile Telemetry carts, performing minor repairs and coordinating larger inspections of carriage equipment.
Serve as the Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) for the local fleet of vehicles. Perform inspections and minor vehicle maintenance. Coordinate for regular vehicle maintenance per manufacturer maintenance schedule. Ensure all vehicles comply with Air Force FOD and QA rules and regulations.
Order parts and equipment as needed to maintain tool inventory. Assist with overflow orders from Logistics section.
Provide support as the building maintenance POC, coordinating with Facilities personnel to resolve identified issues with the squadron facility.
Coordinate with Engineers, Technicians, and Project Leads to provide appropriate support and training.
Perform other job‑related duties as required.
Desired Experience
Familiarity with AFI 21-101 and Air Force Tool Room procedures.
Familiarity with hand tools and basic vehicle maintenance.
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Requirements
Vocational/technical training beyond high school from an academic institution or military equivalent training and at least 7 years of job‑related experience.
Excellent communications and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Planning and organizing skills with the ability to perform work under established deadlines.
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
Valid, current state driver’s license.
Must obtain and maintain a security clearance with special access.
U.S. citizenship required.
Salary The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually.

Working Conditions Most positions involve work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting to 20 pounds. The role requires constant sitting with occasional use of a computer terminal, constant use of visual abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Routine travel to remote company work locations may be required.
