Pay Range
$22.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Job Summary Rochester Midland Corporation is searching for a Field Service Technician to cover Nebraska and Iowa areas. The Field Service Technician II provides an elevated level of service to all contracted Water Treatment accounts through efficient monitoring and application of service programs and procedures. This position performs routine troubleshooting, field installations and repairs of chemical feed and control equipment while maintaining high quality standards.
Essential Job Functions
Develop positive relationships by maintaining continuing contact with accounts to promote the Company’s products
Schedule and perform service routes
Provide services to customers in accordance with the Division’s Minimum Service Standards
Deliver customer technical training as required
Identify potential business opportunities and transfers to sales
Handle and install various chemical dispensing and application equipment
Handle and apply treatment products in an environmentally safe manner
Perform analyses and evaluation of treatment programs to determine product effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary
Routinely troubleshoot for problem/solution identification
Installs and repairs all chemical feed, dispensing, application and control equipment
Provide service reports on status of existing programs at each account
Perform chemical cleanings and power washings of customer equipment
Make recommendations for improving existing treatment programs
Properly care for and maintain all Company-owned equipment including tools, instruments, safety equipment and vehicles
Comply with company safety standards including safe vehicle operation
Complete all administrative requirements including basic skills/safety training courses
Order inventory and supplies required to perform services
Ensure regular communication with service team members and sales personnel
Other similar and comparable duties as required and assigned
Education
High school or technical school diploma required
Associate’s degree in science preferred
Valid driver’s license (clean driving record)
Experience
3 - 5 years of maintenance, sanitation, water treatment and/or food plant industry related experience required
Basic pipe fitting and electrical ability required
Advanced level knowledge of food and water treatment fundamentals, practices, and terminology
Skills
Advanced mechanical, plumbing, and electrical skills
Competent use of tools & safety equipment
Chemical testing & interpretation
Advanced understanding of water treatment, cooling towers, and heating systems
Computer skills including e‑mail, Word, and Excel
Experience in maintenance and repairs – CIP, plumbing and electrical experience
