Overview
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a skilled
Industrial Electrician
to join its maintenance team. This individual will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all plant electrical systems and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with
industrial electrical systems
,
PLC troubleshooting
, and
automated machinery
, along with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair
electrical systems
, components, and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
Diagnose and resolve issues with
motors, drives, control panels, PLCs, and HMIs
.
Perform
preventive and predictive maintenance
on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret
blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
to perform accurate installations and repairs.
Calibrate and maintain sensors, relays, switches, and other control devices.
Support installation and startup of new machinery and process equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work performed, including updates to schematics and PM records.
Adhere to all
safety procedures
, lockout/tagout (LOTO) policies, and company standards.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
required;
Technical Certificate
or
Associate’s Degree
in Electrical or Industrial Technology preferred.
3+ years of experience
as an Industrial or Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of
AC/DC circuits, 3-phase power, motor controls, and electrical distribution systems.
Experience with
PLC troubleshooting
(Allen-Bradley preferred) and basic programming adjustments a plus.
Familiarity with
variable frequency drives (VFDs)
,
industrial automation
, and
control systems
.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Solid understanding of
NFPA 70E
,
OSHA
, and
National Electrical Code (NEC)
compliance.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
