POSITION SUMMARY
Operates CNC Laser to punch or cut metal or plastic components from flat stock. Applies skills and knowledge in Computer Numerical Control Machine Operation to program, troubleshoot minor programming errors, set-up and operate CNC controlled CNC Laser.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
Works with automated material storage system.
Transfers commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.
Select and set-up proper tooling, fixtures; adjust components, start machines, monitor their operations and record operational data.
Interpret and follows written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
Examines completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges, or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws. Follows QA procedures for documentation.
Measures completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates or go, no-go gages.
Monitors equipment operations, performing operator required cleaning and maintenance routines.
Monitors supplies associated with operation of the equipment.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
Works with team members and leadership to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Other Requirements: Supports production team by cross-training in general fabrication equipment operation, including insert press, press brake, assembly and inspection tasks.
