Ameron Pole Products, anArcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Batch Plant Operator for our location in Anniston, AL. As a Batch Plant Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating equipment that mix/blend materials such as cement, aggregate and water to create high strength concrete used in the production process.

What You’ll Do:
Follow all safety procedures, plant policies and Batch Plant work instructions
Generate concrete mixes using batching equipment throughout shift that conform to specifications
Collect and enter data to create concrete batches and records using electronic devices
Communicate with QC department and plant personnel of any material variances
Ensure the batching equipment and surrounding areas are always kept clean
Operate heavy equipment to load materials such as rock and sand
Perform basic preventative maintenance of mixing equipment and report major issues to supervisor
Determine root cause analysis of operating/concrete problems
Maintain proper raw material levels and order as needed (aggregates, cement, admixes)
Complete all required records with access for others to review
Perform other duties as required
What You’ll Need:
1 year experience of concrete batching technology, equipment and methods
Participation in plant safety and environmental meetings
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to work in various outdoor temperatures with exposure to chemicals such as cement, form oil and admixes
Ability to obtain Batch Plant operator certifications such as ACI certifications
General knowledge of computers to run batching programs and reports
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain good, on-time attendance
