Automotive Technician C – AAA The Auto Club Group Join AAA The Auto Club Group as an Automotive Technician C and help provide high‑quality, friendly service to our members and customers. This is a full‑time, hourly position based in Asheville, NC.

Job Type Full time, hourly (non‑exempt)

Responsibilities

Complete routine scheduled maintenance and basic automotive repair tasks as directed by a Manager or Service Advisor, including oil changes, tire replacement and general vehicle maintenance.

Perform automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures outlined on repair orders, such as fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services and advanced repair work.

Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare them for digital vehicle inspection and conduct test drives to confirm repairs.

Prepare vehicles for delivery to customers after maintenance and repair are complete.

Keep the shop clean, organized and safe to ensure a positive member/customer experience.

Work collaboratively with the service team to meet productivity and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or technical school graduate with certification.

Valid driver’s license.

Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of a formal automotive training program.

Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools and technical resources sufficient to perform basic repairs and maintenance.

Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to consistently improve the customer service score.

Preferred Qualifications

ASE certifications, particularly A4‑Suspension & Steering and A5‑Brakes.

G1‑Auto Maintenance & Light Repair certification.

State inspection certificate where applicable.

AC 609 Certification.

Work Environment

May experience intermittent loud noises and odors in shop environment.

Position involves standing, walking, reaching, grabbing, lifting and carrying parts and equipment up to approximately 80 pounds.

Own tools required for adequate performance.

Work in varying temperatures; some locations have no air conditioning.

Maintain standing in a concrete facility for the entire shift.
