Overview Join the team committed to driving your career forward. This is a full‑time, hourly position in one of AAA’s largest network of club‑owned repair facilities across the USA. AAA Car Care is the preferred automotive experts for both members and non‑members, offering a full range of repair and maintenance services staffed with ASE‑certified technicians.
Day‑in‑the‑Life of a Technician B Technician B completes routine scheduled maintenance and basic repair procedures under the direction of a Manager or Service Advisor. Typical activities include oil changes, tire replacement & repairs, fluid exchanges, alignment, brake services, advanced repairs, and digital vehicle inspections. You will also drive test vehicles and deliver them to customers after necessary repairs, maintain a clean shop environment, and mentor less experienced technicians.
Responsibilities
Perform automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders
Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, advanced repair and maintenance services, etc.
Drive vehicles into service bay, prepare them for and complete digital vehicle inspection
Test drive vehicles and prepare vehicle for delivery to customer after necessary repairs and maintenance are complete
Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience
Work with, mentor and train less experienced Technicians
Required Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or Technical school certification
Valid driver’s license
3 years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center
Knowledgeable about automotive and/or truck systems, tools and technical resources; able to independent perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles
Consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools, and maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores
Preferred Qualifications
ASE certifications (or their equivalent): A4‑Suspension & Steering, A5‑Brakes, plus two other ASE certifications
State inspection certificate where applicable
AC 609 Certification
Work Environment
May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment
Position involves standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting and carrying automotive parts and equipment (up to ~80 lbs)
Must have own tools appropriate for skill level for use in the center
Must be able to work in heat; some locations do not have air conditioning (fans are present in all facilities)
Must be able to maintain working on feet in a concrete facility for entire shift
Compensation and Benefits
Pay rates starting at $45,000 annual (based on hourly rate plus productivity bonus)
Annual Incentive Opportunity, Certification Bonus Opportunity, Flat Rate (Production) Pay
