Base pay range $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr

The Assembler will perform duties to assemble and test filtration machinery in accordance with production and engineering standards, prescribed procedures, customer specifications, and quality standards. The Assembler will select the assembly method and erection procedure, fit parts to tolerances and operating requirements, and be involved with the use of hand and power tools.

Role And Responsibilities

Fit, align, and assemble manufactured or purchased parts, motors, pumps, and sub‑assemblies into completed units and make necessary electrical and piping connections

Position parts according to the layout of the unit being assembled or according to engineering drawings

Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners

Drill and tap holes for fasteners

Advising Superiors of discrepancies, visually inspect parts and assemblies for fit and surface defects

Remove small quantities of metal with hand files to produce close fit between parts

Test components and unit for proper operation

Move items to the Paint Department for painting using a forklift

Record daily production information on the timekeeping system

Follow company policies and safety while keeping a clean and orderly work area

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and four to six years’ mechanical repair or machine assembly experience

Ability to read and interpret engineering and/or assembly drawings

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Write/complete routine documents such as checklists and timesheets

Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Able to work First Shift hours of 5:00am-1:30pm CST

Be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Forklift operator Certification
