Position Summary: Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. The role supports and oversees repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team, using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and a variety of hand, digital, and power tools.
Base Pay Range $26.00/hr – $51.00/hr (actual rate based on skills, experience and local regulations)
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital and power tools.
Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required safety and equipment training.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policies.
Lift up to 75 lbs, navigate ladders, and work safely at heights.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report.
Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s in A/C & refrigeration.
Excellent driving record.
Prior experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
