Position Summary and What you’ll do: A Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician will support and oversee repair within Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets. You will use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills along with hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs in a fast‑paced and welcoming environment.
Base Pay Range $26.00/hr - $51.00/hr
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders from stores and associate with associated documentation of repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by following Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights on ladders as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
8 to 10 years of experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
Excellent driving record.
Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
