Job Summary
(USA) Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC
– Join Walmart’s Retail operations team as a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. In this role, you will support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment, using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills along with hand, power, and digital tools.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigerators and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass an MVR report.
18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Option 1: 10+ years experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8+ years experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
Universal EPA certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s in A/C and refrigeration.
Excellent driving record.
Prior work experience with glycol and CO 2
systems.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage range: $26.00‑$51.00 per hour. Compensation may include performance‑based bonus incentives depending on skill level, experience, and qualifications.
