Responsibilities What You’ll Do
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems including motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and replace or repair components to minimize downtime.
Conduct inspections and maintenance on mill equipment to ensure safe and optimal operation.
Assist with mechanical installations and equipment upgrades across the plant.
Diagnose and repair industrial electrical systems (3‑phase, 480V).
Support installation and connection of power supply wiring and conduit for new equipment.
Troubleshoot control panels, motor starters, and components of automation systems.
Work with PLC/HMI systems (especially Allen Bradley) to identify faults and support automation efficiency.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, terminations, and wiring diagrams.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills (required).
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, wiring, and automation controls.
Experience with PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley preferred) is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, physically active environment with rotating shifts.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to escalations when needed.
Bonus Skills (Preferred, Not Required)
Experience with welding and fabrication methods.
Familiarity with automation systems in a mill, foundry, or similar industrial setting.
Exposure to high‑voltage troubleshooting or controls integration.
