Senior Paralegal (Resorts World Las Vegas)
Summary Statement
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support the Legal Department with maintaining corporate documents and filings, contract routing and management, litigation support, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and corporate governance.
Primary Job Duties
Manage the routing and filing of all contracts, and maintain a contract tracking system
Review and file annual reports and related filings with the Nevada Secretary of State
Maintain internal corporate records and certificates, including interpreting applicable statutes and regulations
Process all subpoenas and garnishments, and drafting appropriate responses with a high degree of independent decision making
Assist the Legal Department with managing all pending litigation
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filings and responses
Support attorneys with administrative tasks and project coordination
Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
Perform other job-related duties as requested
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred
Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting
Minimum Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in a legal setting (law firm or in-house legal department), primarily focused on transactional and corporate work
At least 21 years of age
Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to obtain the following:
Notary certification
Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in an office environment
Must be tolerant of varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality
Prolonged sitting/standing
Bending and reaching
Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs
Eye/hand coordination
Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions
