Exciting Opportunity for a Neonatologist in Cartersville, GA
Pediatrix Medical Group , a national leader in neonatal and pediatric care, invites you to join our newly established Level II NICU at a nationally ranked facility in Cartersville, Georgia. This charming suburb, just 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta, offers a vibrant community with a blend of small-town charm and modern amenities.
Job Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to newborns requiring Level II NICU support.
- Attend high-risk and C-section deliveries.
- Cover a 12-bed newborn nursery, including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable.
- Rounding in-house during the day with overnight call responsibilities from home.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and allied staff.
- Contribute to quality improvement and care coordination initiatives.
- Support newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology.
- Willingness to obtain a Georgia medical license.
- Completion of a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine prior to start.
- Experience or training in Level II NICU care.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- DEA license must be obtained prior to start.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neonatology.
- Georgia medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Completion of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship.
- Current DEA registration prior to start.
