Infusion Registered Nurse Highlights •
The pay for this position is $42.00 - $47.00 per hour. •
Schedule:
Four (4) 10-hour shifts | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM •
Onsite position •
This position is a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) •
Strong IV skills required
Responsibilities • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care in accordance with established standards and practices. • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments by interviewing patients regarding current condition, medical history, and treatment response. • Collect, document, and evaluate nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes. • Review and communicate pertinent clinical data, including laboratory results, radiographic findings, and psychosocial assessments, to the provider. • Assess patient and family needs and provide education, teaching materials, and psychosocial support. • Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. • Administer medications and blood products using correct drug, dosage, route, timing, and technique. • Ensure pre-authorizations and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration when applicable. • Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patients, reviewing labs, consulting treatment protocols, calculating dosages, and collaborating with physicians on symptom management. • Perform
venipuncture
, access implanted ports, and maintain
central line catheter devices
. • Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and educate patients and caregivers on home pump use. • Demonstrate proficiency in ambulatory infusion pump operation, maintenance, cleaning, and usage documentation. • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, therapies administered, and charge capture. • Apply knowledge of reimbursement processes related to infusion services. • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements • Active, unrestricted
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida •
Minimum 1 year of infusion administration experience required •
Strong IV skills
including venipuncture, port access, and central line management •
Chemotherapy and oncology experience highly preferred • Demonstrated ability to assess patients, interpret lab values, and support treatment protocols • Excellent documentation, communication, and patient education skills
