Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) Highlights The pay for this position is $37.00-$44.00
per hour.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm
Onsite position
This position is a contract.
Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care in accordance with established standards and practices
Assess patient and family needs and provide education, teaching, and instructional materials
Prepare and administer infusion therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician
Administer medications and blood products using correct medication, dosage, route, timing, and technique
Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration
Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient condition, reviewing laboratory results, consulting treatment protocols, calculating doses, and collaborating with physicians
Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous catheter devices
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage symptoms appropriately
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatments provided
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care
Support and adhere to the Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, and Business Standards
Requirements Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred)
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state
Minimum of
1 year of infusion nursing experience
(chemotherapy infusion preferred; other infusion experience considered)
Current
Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification
Strong clinical assessment, IV, port access, and documentation skills
Benefits Available Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
