Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Hartford HealthCare in the search for a Chief Philanthropy Officer.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPhO) will will be a visionary and strategic leader responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing a comprehensive philanthropy strategy across Connecticut's largest, integrated healthcare system. This role will ensure alignment with the organization's mission, values, and strategic priorities, while fostering a culture of generosity, stewardship, and community partnership. The CPhO will lead the transformation from a decentralized philanthropic structure to a unified, high-performing system that leverages best practices, shared technology platforms, and coordinated donor engagement strategies. This role will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and collaborate with board, institute, regional, and system leaders to drive philanthropic growth and impact. The CPhO must embody the organization's core values of Integrity, Caring, Excellence, Safety, and Health Equity, and serve as a champion for community impact and inclusive engagement.

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least ten years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare philanthropy or nonprofit fundraising, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a complex or matrixed organization, is required for this position. Professional certification (CFRE, FAHP, or equivalent) is preferred. Hartford HealthCare will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. The base salary range for this position is $600,000 to $650,000, along with the potential for additional, performance-based executive rewards.
